Ra was a stray feral kitten in Easton along with her two sisters Luna and Scarlett. Her mother is Momma cat on the waitlist.  She is still getting used to humans and can be very shy. Ra, Luna and Scarlett love to play and wrestle together.  Ra does not like to be held at all yet but loves to be pettted.  Ra's favorite thing is to have her head rubbed and will headbutt your hand and mew at you for more affection.

*Update 10/2011* Ra can now be held for short intervals.  She is still shy and seems to be a little afraid of faces.  But purrs like crazy when petted!  Sometimes she will sleep with you in bed. Ra must be adopted with one of her sisters.

Ra is now Spayed, Tested Neg for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated and dewormed.  She is named after the Egyptian Sun God who had a falcon face that I thought she resembled.  Ra was also usually the first kitten I would see in the morning.

Ra's sister Scarlett came into the Cat Shack with a ruptured eye and had to have surgery to remove the eye.  She is recovering well, but the Cat Shack can use your help.  Scarlett's vet bills are currently over $500 and climbing.  Please consider making a tax deductible donation to the Prudence fund to help!  http://thecatshack.chipin.com/prudence-memorial-fund

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

The first step in adoption is to...

Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
