Update 3/17/13: Colby is back again!!! This poor special needs cat is having a problem pooping in the litter box....he has CH and lays in the box to pee, but it appears more comfortable for him to poop on the floor next to the box. We are working with him to find a box that will help him, but for now he needs a home that will accept his special needs : ) He really is a loving cat who likes to sit on my lap every evening and give me cuddles.
Update 1/28/11: He's baaaaaaaaaaackkkkk!!!! Adorable Colby is back with The Cat Shack and ready for adoption! He is spunky as ever (throwing down with the other cats LOL, but loves his cuddle time!!!!!)
Colby is special needs and does require a special litterbox and Yesterday's News litter--sometimes since he lays to do his business in the box, he gets a little on his fur. We have no other issues with him since he has been back! He comes running when you call his name!!!!
Update 6/30/11: I am ready for adoption! I still am wobbly when I walk and fall sometimes (a lot if I'm tired!) but I LOVE to be petted and held! I follow my foster human around and even come when she calls me. I am special needs, but all I need is sturdy food dishes, a low litterbox with Yesterdays News, and lots of love!!!!
I am little Colby---a nice lady took in my momma right before she had me and my siblings. I am the only one who survived, and I have Cerebellar Hypoplasia---the part of my brain that helps my balace is damaged. I am learning to walk with physical therapy and harness walker (which I won't need when I get a little bigger)!!! I have a normal life expectancy, but I will be very wobbly the rest of my life. I am soooooooo loving and adorable!!!!
I won't be ready for adoption for a few months yet----can you please be a sponsor to help cover my formula and medical costs? THANK YOU!!!!
Special Needs: Severe Cerebellar Hypoplasia
The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA. The first step in adoption is to...
