Kilo was owner surrendered to the Cat Shack reportedly due to his previous owner having allergies. However when Kilo was surrender, he was dirty, matted, and had a severe urinary tract infection, UTI. He urinated outside of the litter box and it is assumed this was caused by the UTI. His UTI has been treated, and Kilo is now very healthy. However, he also needs several litter boxes which are kept very clean. Kilo looks like a prince and has some behaviors like one too. He only likes to go in each box once or twice and likes to have one box for pee and another for poop. He also likes his food and water dish full at all times or he will let you know, it’s not really crying but more like talking loudly. Currently, Kilo shares a home with three other male cats and a dog. He physically gets along with the other male cats, but does not like to use the same litter box as the other cats. Kilo has not been exposed to a female cat while being fostered. He doesn’t mind the dog at all, but because he is declawed and older, the dog should be very mellow and well behaved. When adopted, it is recommended that Kilo be kept in a small space until he has acclimated to his new surroundings, because he was very stressed when first entering his foster home. Despite the difficulty of working out Kilo’s likes and dislikes and his quirkiness, his foster family adores him. He will make the right person very happy. Kilo’s perfect match would be a family who wants to pamper him and treat him like a prince, is very clean, quiet, and possibly a little quirky too.
