Feb 2018 UPDATE!  

Jemma has grown into a beautiful cat.  However, she still is quite shy.  Jemma is almost two years old now, and it staying with her brother, Jaden, at our adoption area at Dog Town in Colmar.  We're hoping with some time and extra socialization at Dog Town, Jemma and Jaden will begin to come out of their shells a bit with people. Both are shy, but curious cats, and would likely do well in a home that will give them some time to get used to new people, cats, and surroundings.  A quiet, adult home would be best for them at this time, and they both seem to get comfort from each other and have been together since birth, so we would like to see them adopted together.

This adorable female kitten was taken into the Cat Shack at 9-weeks-old along with her siblings and mother after a homeowner found them living under his shed.

Jemma is FeLV/FIV tested neg, vaccinated and dewormed.  She's very scared after spending her early weeks outside and still hides while her siblings have all relaxed and seem to be enjoying their time inside a home.  We expect Jemma will also continue to become more social with time and patience.  

Jemma would love to be adopted into a cozy home where she could have another young cat or kitten as a playmate.

Adopting from The Cat Shack

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
